The calloused heart receives the woes yet grieves for souls no more
Foreseeing the fleeting faith of men dried up on the shore
Behold a glimmer of the light that flees swiftly amidst
this furnace of affliction precursing the abyss
Of conquered wreathes and casted stones that build the walls of hate
Dichotomize the conscience man that dreads a sealed fate

The ravens quench the fire and whisper dark desires
They feed on the incision provoking their illusions
The hand in the quiver the serpent he slithers
on into the garden tainted by compromise
Of crimson and shadows betrayal and scarlet
Of wormwood's destruction - the curse that breeds corruption

I sacrificed my soul on the altar of despair

A tale of tainted love and grieving of The Dove
The arrows pierced through me yet grace has pursued me

While cowering in shadows a presence descends into the darkness
The tomb on which I laid my head becomes a pillar to Heaven's gate
Unleashing wrath upon the scorn that withered my tortured soul
The ghostly howls of Hades shall be my dread no more

In general, I’m not very keen on doom metal, but this album appears as an exception. The dark atmosphere and the beautiful melodies held my attention from the first seconds, but what that really made me give in are the mesmerizing vocals.
